QUALITY water is life. Water is an incredibly intimate aspect of our daily lives. We drink water, bathe in water, cook with water, and wash with water and so on. Although water is of utmost importance to our lives, most of us knows little about the water we use every day and the threat it may pose to our health.

Why filter your tap water?
For a long time, chlorine has been used to eliminate harmful bacteria from drinking water. Chlorine kills most disease-carrying bacteria, parasites and other organisms. It is easy to introduce, cheap and effective. However, when Chlorine is added to water to kill bacteria, it also reacts with ammonia and some chemical to form harmful substances, Chloramines and Trihalomethanes (THM’s) which are documented as carcinogenic (cancer risks). With the right filtration, theses substances can be filtered.

Water travels a distance and aging pipes and tanks may pick up impurities along the way. Other impurities like ammonia, free chlorine (gas), algae, fungi, hair, pesticide, herbicide, chemicals, rust, fine sand, organic materials, heavy metals like iron, copper, lead, etc can be filtered.

Organizations make decisions based on different set of priorities. Deciding what to do on the household level is an individual decision. Make your family decision based on HEALTH PRIORITY.

Didn’t notice much difference when using the shower filter, but when I went to a new 5 star hotel in Singapore and stayed there a couple of days, realised that my hair felt different and dry even though I used lots of free conditioner there. Guess that the water I have at home is better for my hair.
